I recently came upon a post telling people not to pray for an easy life, but instead to pray for the strength to deal with a difficult life. So, you know, here I am, giving my thoughts. I may be missing the point, but I know that if I pray for strength, I am going to receive many opportunities in which I must search and find strength within in order to move through a situation. Because essentially what that is telling the Universe is that I need practice being strong. So, tahdah, the Universe responds. Instead, I just ask for the highest and greatest good to be done. If you are going through a difficult time, ask to be shown the light at the end of the tunnel. Think about that for a moment. If you feel like things are not going in your favor and you continue asking for strength, you continue to have experiences where you get to practice being strong. But, if you are being shown the light at the end of the tunnel, you are starting to see how things are working IN YOUR FAVOR, hence you will see more and more things working in your favor and of course gratitude follows.
Each morning as I meditate and set my own intentions, I ask to be placed in situations that will serve my highest good and that of others. I hope this helps you along your journey and I hope it makes sense.
