Were you punished when you made a mistake?

If you were punished or scolded for making a mistake, it could make you fearful of making choices in the future. Maybe you were told, don't do that, you'll hurt yourself and you did it and hurt yourself and then you got a swat on the fanny to go along with the bruised ego...That energy can shut you down and make you fearful. What if your parents would have chosen to say, “Well, if you're going to do that I'll help you figure out how”? Think about how that would have helped you understand necessary steps of preparation instead of fear...

Life is designed to allow us to experience a myriad of lessons. In fact, making mistakes is how we learn.  It’s such an important part of life. Again, it's how we learn. But when we're chastised or scolded after making a mistake, it sure takes away the fun or excitement in learning doesn't it?  Being scolded and chastised would also make someone fearful of living their authentic self; especially when there's people out there waiting to pounce on you, when you are expressing your authentic self.   Side note here, but this can also create a shadow aspect of the self; an aspect deemed inappropriate, and you might try to hide that part of yourself.  It’s a part of you that you came to earth to experience but now you’ve hidden it and deemed it negative.  I’m sure you’ve heard the term SHADOW WORK.  It’s a pretty big buzz word right now. If you haven’t, there’s no time like the present.

PLEASE know, you deserve better for yourself, and your loved ones deserve better from you. BE. YOUR. AUTHENTIC. SELF. The world needs you as you were meant to be. Not a watered-down version that makes other's feel comfortable watering themselves down too.

Dig up that trauma and look at it. Do the work. The world needs your gifts so that also means you might need to get a thicker layer of skin because hurt people are having no problems speaking from their pain.

If you have trauma, and WE ALL DO, look at it. Thank it and feel the energy that goes with it. If you know it's some heavy shit, talk to a professional that can hold space for you as you are working through that energy. Don't give up on yourself. Your beautiful soul created this life for you to learn and grow, not to shut you down. Show up for yourself in ways you wish you’d been helped as a child.
